FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions About Home Care

FAQ

Researching care options is a difficult task.  We have compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) below to assist you.

Is Home Care Right For Me?

The answer to this question is dependent upon the needs, personality and resources of each individual. Most individuals would prefer to stay in the comfort and familiar surroundings of home. A major consideration to factor when deciding home care vs. a facility is that once you sell and move out of your home it is virtually impossible to go back. With home care you can always change your decision and adjust your level of care.

How Much Does Home Care Cost?

Pricing is based upon the level of care needed and services that are requested.  Personal 1:1 care in your home can be much more affordable than the alternatives, because you have control over how much care is provided.  Contact us to schedule a free in home consultation to talk about services and pricing for your individual needs.

Does Evergreen Charge Extra For Overnight Or Weekend Care?

No. Your rates are the same regardless of day of the week. We also offer discounts for certain overnight shifts.

  • You have to report payroll taxes to the government
  • What if they are injured while working for you?

  • Is there a backup if they are sick or absent?

Will I Get The Same Caregiver Every Time?

Though there may be a need to adjust staffing from time to time, our Staffing Managers strive to match clients and caregivers based upon several criteria points, one of which is – schedule availability. We make every attempt to maintain a constant pairing as long as the client is satisfied. We understand a stable relationship is important to our clients.  If there is a need to introduce a new caregiver, it is our policy to have a case manager personally introduce the new caregiver and provide thorough background and care plan review to ensure client needs are met.

Do I Need a Doctor’s Order To Receive Care?

No. Service begins and ends when you want it to. The type and length of care is your choice. However, in situations where there is Long Term Care Insurance or Veterans Aid and Attendance benefits, a doctor’s order may be required for coverage. Our experienced staff can assist you with a plan of care for submission for insurance or benefit claim.
